Terry Daniher, ranked 11 in the all time Champions of Essendon, captained Essendon to 2 premierships in 84 & 85. He played 313 senior games. His playing achievements, highlights &

Terry Daniher

Terry is from the small NSW town of Ungarie near West Wyalong and he started playing both Aussie Rules & Rugby League. He played 19 games for South Melbourne before being traded to Essendon. Terry had 3 younger brothers who also played for Essendon – Neale, Anthony & Chris; and now Ungarie is home to the monument – ‘The Big Sherrin’ – a tribute to the Daniher brothers.

After Essendon, he went on to captain coach the Wagga Tigers to 5 premierships, and then moved to assistant coaching at Essendon, coaching a reserves premiership in 1999, then to assistant coaching positions at Collingwood, St Kilda & Carlton.

The always smiling Terry, is one of the most popular and respected Essendon and AFL personalities.
