Angela Pippos
The inaugural Women’s Footy Almanac Lunch is on this coming Odd Friday. John Harms has Angela Pippos as his special guest. Angela has published her second book Breaking The Mould that takes a knowledgeable, funny, no nonsense look at sexism in sport and covers the advent of the AFLW.
Angela Pippos completed an Honours degree in Politics at Adelaide Uni and began her career in ABC TV in Adelaide. She came to Melbourne in 1997 and was soon presenting the sport on the 7pm News. She left the ABC after 14 years.
In 2007 she was asked by the ALP to stand in the safe seat vacated by Steve Bracks – she declined the offer. Angela has done radio work on the ABC, Sport 927 and 3AW. She co-hosted the breakfast program for 2 years with Michael Christian on Sport 927.
She MCed the launch of the AFL women’s competition, and produced & presented a documentary on the rise of women in football that was screened on 7 nationally on the
opening night of the AFLW. She is a proud ambassador for the Adelaide Football Club. Angela is a Journalist, TV & radio presenter, Author and MC and is known as the ‘pocket rocket’ for the passion & flair she puts into everything she does.
