Mark McNamara is John Harm’s special guest at the next Odd Friday Lunch run by John and The Footy Almanac.
Mark is a Barrister at the Victorian Bar specialising in Commercial and Common Law.
He has just finished and had published “The ‘ Bool – The History of Racing in Warrnambool – from 1848”. His near-30-year toil has produced a book of more than 400 pages that is an amazing and well-researched story of more than a century and a half of horse-racing history in Warrnambool, and is also a history of the region’s people and their sporting passion.
The book covers the ultimate test of horse and rider, the 5500m Grand Annual Steeplechase and other iconic carnival races including The Warrnambool Cup.
The book has a Foreward by proud Warrnambool man and highly respected former Chief
Steward Des Gleeson.
Along with John Harms, this will be another entertaining Footy Almanac Lunch.
