Gideon Haigh is a writer and journalist. He is 52 years old, born in London, went to school in Geelong, and lives in Melbourne.
He has written over 30 books, many on cricket and has edited numerous others. He has written about sport (mainly Cricket) and business, for countless newspapers, magazines and websites in Australia and around the world. Like John Harms he is also on the Offsiders on the ABC.
His latest book, just released, is A Scandal in Bohemia: The Life and Death of Mollie Dean. It is a book about Mollie Dean who’s murder in 1930 in Elwood is still unsolved.
He has become an authority on Cricket, and the media seek out his comments on newsworthy items and controversies.
Along with his friend & fellow Geelong supporter John Harms, this should be another very entertaining Footy Almanac lunch.
