Anson Cameron is a writer, humourist and Age columnist. He was born (1961) and brought up in Shepparton, but went to Geelong Grammar.

He has written numerous critically acclaimed novels including – Silences Long Gone (about
Aboriginal Land Rights) , Tin Toys, Confessin’ the Blues, The Last Pulse (a very funny story about the Rivers of Australia), Lies I Told about a Girl, BoyHoodlum (an unreliable memoir
about growing up in Shepparton), Stealing Picasso (a fiction about the actual theft of a Picasso from the National Gallery of Vic in 1986) and Here is a Boar’s Left One.

Anson is a very funny man, with many stories. Along with John Harms this should be another very entertaining Footy Almanac lunch.
